Look at what I’ve rolled. Come share my common cold. I am complacent, uncontrolled.

My peers have all been had by somebodies dad. He is persuasive, they’re all sold.

I am irresponsible. I’ll drop the ball on anything and be that way forever more. Keeping all of my money beneath a pop out panel in the hardwood floor.

It’s all a game of chance. Roll the dice and prance along the cardboard to advance.

We both shot a glance at the man in the Zubaz pants who is playing pinball in a trance.

Thinking “I am sure that someone special is bound to come along who is going to finance this arrangement.” Then he’ll close his eyes and remember back to the hot wheels track in his neighbors basement.

As long as I can spend most days inside in one position, and never analyze my bad decisions, and never have to eat what’s in the box to get the prize inside…

I am not a man. I don’t have a plan or any ounce of self control. I’ve come to understand the success rates of a band while every child I knew is getting old.

Every grain of sand that slips between my hands I’m sure a monster will behold.
